Regenerist Allows You to Regenerist Your Face–and Wallet

So between the news that Sarah Jessica Parker told Marie Claire's U.K. edition she's pondering the possibility of a third fucking Sex and the City film, that “pajazzling” exists (you know what “vajazzling” is? Yeah, well, now your boyfriend can experience it for himself), and the revelation of  “junderpants” (denim hotpants-printed undies), I think I've about had it with fashion news this week.

But there is some good news among the onslaught of dumb trend news: Sometimes they're not lying after all.

Oil of Olay's Regenerist line has a lot of advertisements out there talking itself up—it's a drugstore brand with drugstore pricing, but million-dollar department-store-brand results. Recently, after running out of a bottle of face cream that cost too much, I made the switch: Both my face and my bank account thank me.

The top three products I've tried out:

REGENERIST REGENERATING CREAM CLEANSER
This $5.99 cream cleanser is filled with tiny “oxygenated derma-beads” that help exfoliate the skin. Usually stuff of this nature tends to irritate and dry out delicate facial skin—not so much with this product, thanks to its creamy texture.

REGENERIST MICRO-SCULPTING CREAM
At $21.49, this cream is still on the higher end of the price spectrum of all that stuff on the shelves of Target's beauty aisle—but it's still a bargain considering most creams will set you back at least $45 at the department store. The advertisements and magazine blurbs claim its performance is better than a “$700 luxury face cream.” The box will tell you it's the “highest concentration of amino-peptide complex infused with intracellular fortifier and a touch of precious marine proteins.” I don't know what any of that means, but it makes my face feel awesome, look and feel smooth, and feel hydrated throughout the day. For those with oilier skin types, save this one for night-time use only.

REGENERIST UV DEFENSE REGENERATING LOTION WITH SPF 50
Better for daytime use, the $23.79 Regenerist with SPF 50 is a must for everyday use. Seriously, SPF. Every day.
