At the newly renovated Film and Media Center (named after Beaches, shot at this very location), the Crystal Cove Alliance presents a screening of a family-friendly movie filmed at the state park way back in the day: Herbie Rides Again, the campy, goofy 1974 flick about a VW Bug coming to life and saving an old lady's home from a nasty developer. So bring a lawn chair, a blanket and a flashlight and enjoy one of the most wholesome indulgences of summer. Popcorn and refreshments available for purchase.
