Movie Mondays: The Nightmare Before Christmas

‘Twas The Nightmare Before Christmas, and all throughout OC, everyone was heading to Costa Mesa to watch a Tim Burton movie for free. Once the beach chairs were set up and the picnics prepared, an animated feature appeared, seemingly out of thin air. Everyone brought their tweens because this film was PG, but the animation was so beautifully strange, the children started to scream. They saw Santa in his red coat and a world in shades of black, and watched Jack Skellington kidnap Santa because Jack thought Halloween was whack. ‘Twas the story of a monster, sick of his place, and the realization that fear was just a ridiculous waste. So come to Movie Mondays at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, and allow Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas to once again capture your heart.
