Million Dollar Quartet

Add your first grade teacher and a pony, and this sounds a lot like the dreams we have after a midnight Jack in the Box run. Million Dollar Quartet tells the story of one December night when Elvis got together with Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for a good old fashioned jam session. Credit “Father of Rock 'n' Roll” Sam Phillips, who brought the four icons to Memphis' Sun Records studio—an unbelievable night that, thankfully, was recorded and later inspired a Tony Award-winning play. Though most songs from the actual event were gospel, this energetic performance includes all the hits. Catch the retelling of this amazing true story at the Segerstrom Center and dream about being a fly on that wall.

Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: April 24. Continues through May 6, 2012
