'Masters of Adornment: The Miao People of China'

The title of the exhibit kind of says it all. The Miao are a cultural group that come primarily from southern China, and they really put some thought and work into the way they dressed and adorned themselves. Like, way more than the girl you know who takes forever to get ready (what is she doing in there anyway?). The Miao people went all out—bracelets, necklaces, textiles woven with metal, silk embroidery. And the headdresses the women wore rival what most architects dream of achieving: towering beauty that takes years of masterful skill and patience to achieve.
