Love Kills

One thing definitely admire is an artist who unabashedly exposes their soul—both the bright and dark parts—public judgement be damned. Meet Robert “Sticky” Shaw, the first artist to partake in AR4T Gallery's summer “commotion/camaraderie/uproar” series of shows. His visions are shattered ones—canvases consist of love letters, vintage newspaper clips saved by his father, concert bills, streaks of paint and maybe some dried blood. His inspiration comes from a broken heart, alcohol and drug abuse, Sid, Nancy, and cutting, a destructive habit from his past that Sticky doesn't hide. This art opening is as raw and honest as it gets. This is punk rock in its truest form.

Saturdays. Starts: June 2. Continues through June 23, 2012
