Photo by Jeanne Rice LEGALLY BLONDE (2001) is the story of Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon), a young woman who seemingly has it all—looks, connections and a rich boyfriend. Then her boyfriend heads off to Harvard to marry a more politically desirable, if dowdier, woman. While Elle's predilection for pink—as well as accessorizing her Chihuahua—stamps her as vapid, she aces law school, finds love and frees an innocent woman from jail, all while looking fabulous! Loosely based on the life of Janet Reno. Here, Crystal Sikes, a student at Brooks College of Fashion Design in Long Beach, walks Sir Master Wiley outside Chapman University's Memorial Hall. We found her hair accessory at Planet Beauty in Newport Beach. Her sunglasses are by San Clemente-based Electric ($70-$85). Her pink-sequins-on-silk dress is designed by Sheri Bodell and is available at Flare for Women ($280). Other students are (left to right) Amanda, Jason, Joel, Rachel, James.
Photo tech: Mario C. Sir Master Wiley's stylists: Alley Cat and Dog Grooming of Fountain Valley. Crystal's makeup: Christina Godbee.
