Latin American Famiy Festival

Cinco de Mayo is officially over and all that remains are splitting hangovers, three-digit credit card charges at the bar, and perhaps some mysterious stains on the carpet. As sweet relief from the bacchanalian holiday, Bowers Museum is hosting their Latin American Family Festival, complete with music, art and traditional Latin cuisine. Best of all, the Festival is free to attend—and as part of the museum's Free First Sundays series, the entire establishment (both Bowers and the Kidseum) is open to all, sans entry fee. So go check out exhibits like “Sacred Gold: Pre-Hispanic Art of Colombia” and “California Legacies: Missions and Ranchos,” enjoy some Latin music and delight in exotic flavors—and try to forget last night ever happened.
