Late Night Munchies

As much fun as holidays can be, most of them only last a mere 24 hours, and once they’re gone, you have to deal with the depression of knowing you have to wait another 364 days until they return. What better way to cure your post-Halloween blues than attending the final performance of Night of the Living Dead, which the Maverick Theater has generously extended through Halloween weekend for those of you who just can’t get enough nightmares. The innate claustrophobia of the Living Dead story makes it perfect for the stage as a group of strangers take refuge in a farmhouse while outside, the dead have risen from their graves to terrorize the planet. It’s a little like Waiting for Godot . . . if Godot had a taste for brains and Vladimir and Estragon were intending to blow his head off when he finally arrived.
