James Bond: Thunderball

Playing super spy James Bond, Sean Connery had his way with the ladies back in the day. He also had a killer right hook. Today’s 007 might have a few more gadgets, but nothing beats the charisma that Connery brought to the role, a charm which will be on full display when the Bay Theatre presents the 1965 film Thunderball. First built in 1947, this theater hearkens back to the glory days of cinema. And today, the movie prices are cheap, very cheap, especially considering a trip for a family of four these days will conservatively run you about $50—and that’s not including the ten dollar box of Sour Patch Kids. Not so at the Bay Theatre, where students, seniors and children can get in for six bucks.
