So the Angels haven't gotten off to the best start this year. But this night's game against the Twins, perhaps subconsciously designed before the season started, brings back that most inspiring team mascot, the Rally Monkey. For every ticket purchased, Angels fans get a free Rally Monkey doll, in which to wave, fling, and bend into offensive positions as they wish. But there's something to the power of the Monkey—it's debut pushed the team to win a losing bottom-of-the-ninth game, and it had an inescapable presence during the 2002 World Series. Besides, it's not officially summer until you're eating a hot dog at a baseball game—and possibly chucking a monkey around.
