For one night only, the AMC theater at the District in Tustin presents this science fiction classic, starting from the alien-orchestrated beginning of mankind to the year 2001, where a space exploration could unlock the next step of the human race's evolution. It's stark, powerful, cryptic, just don't expect any clear answers—as Kubrick advises, "You are free to speculate as you wish about the philosophical and allegorical meaning of the film.
