This southern California family affair consists of two siblings who together become BLOK, describing their musical genre as 'pop urban surrealism,' which is fitting since BLOK's sound is out of this world. The two have collaborated on numerous trippy jams with brother Damien Blaise and sister Gianna Gianna penning lyrics and fulfilling vocals together. Through their hypnotic electronic beats and sharp rhymes, BLOK are considered iconoclasts in the Orange County music scene and beyond; they've been featured everywhere from high fashion's NYLON magazine Japan to world famous KROQ. Just as their music is fiercely transgressive and unique, their visual aesthetic and music videos are equally fierce and magnetic, capitalizing on the weird and wonderful world in which they've created for themselves. Tonight they play at the Detroit Bar will fellow avant garde acts The Garden and Terminal A.
