The weekend-long Tet Festival at Garden Grove Park is an annual celebration of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year and is recognized as the largest Tet festival outside of Vietnam. Each year, more than 100,000 people attend the festivities, which include a series of booths selling traditional food, games, a Miss Vietnam of SoCal pageant (Friday), fireworks (Saturday), a Grand Concert (Sunday), plus much more. The event is hosted by The Union of the Vietnamese Student Associations of Southern California (UVSA), a nonprofit that puts much of the proceeds back into the local community. Come celebrate the year of the snake and the official beginning of spring at this year’s “Colors of Our Homeland”-themed festival.
