Anything called the Susi Q Senior Center is definitely okay with us. (CCR with John Fogerty/the Seventies/beanbags, bongs and acid—fuck, don’t get us started!) That it’s named after a real person (late, much-loved Laguna Beach Independent columnist Elizabeth Howe Quilter) and is hosting a free concert, puts this on our must-do list during the city’s lavish, annual music fest. This year, the 6-day extravaganza has a South American flavor—salsa, samba, reggae and more from Argentina, Peru, Brazil and beyond. Beverages and tasty bites abound. The final-night bash features a champagne reception, gourmet dinner with wine pairings, concert and onstage revel with the artists. Save the last tango for us, okay?
