Man, if ever there was a ‘Quick! No time to explain!” situation. OC rock ‘n’ roll stalwart Deke Dickerson is concluding ten ever-more-elaborate years of inspiring guitarology with this last two-day blow-out of all things good ‘n’ geeky. Friday is soul legend Barbara Lynn and sci-fi surf crew Man...or Astroman? together at last and much more! Saturday is Los Straitjackets and a reconstituted Randy (brother of Bobby) Fuller Four and even much-er more! Every time we’ve gone to one of these, we’ve been amazed (Crickets drummer Jerry Allison playing like Tommy Ramone!) and educated (did you know the Telecaster is the most caveman guitar?) and left a better, geekier person. Live it, learn it, mourn it if you miss it!
