When we interviewed Night of the Living Dead’s Barbra, cult actress Judith O’Dea (“Night of the Living Burrito,” June 2003), she told us that watching her cast mates eat real animal entrails dripping in chocolate syrup never made her lose her appetite. In fact, she added, her favorite part of eating meat is still the skin. Such gruesome transferences of appetite and attitude can occur when one is surrounded by hundreds of the undead, and we don’t just mean your co-workers. Find out for yourself when the Maverick Theater, in its annual campy tradition, resurrects its Halloween masterpiece of unmentionables gnawing on the breasts and thighs of the terrified still-living, and don’t be surprised if you find yourself craving a little Chick-fil-A afterward. It’s where all the brain-dead go, after all.
