ABC’s game show Wipeout is basically Double Dare with everything but the Physical Challenge stripped out, and host John Henson is one of the guys that makes the inhumanity hilarious. Turns out he’s got plenty of inhuman hilarity to go around, honed by his time hosting the pop-culture acid bath that is E’s Talk Soup and cured into an absolutely dedicated sarcasm that made for a quick-but-perfect cameo in Blink-182’s “What’s My Age Again?” As a stand-up comedian, he’s all about the precise tactical strike at the weak links in society—and that makes for what you might call a “target-rich environment.” On Wipeout, he stands in front of the big balls.
