In another installment of the Canvas Shop’s Wes Anderson Wednesdays, the Seal Beach retail/art studio space is screening Fantastic Mr. Fox. Based on the Roald Dahl children's novel, the 2009 film tells the grandiose story of Mr. Fox stealing food from three wealthy farmers to feed his family; when the farmers get fed up with his thieving antics, they try to kill him but are outwitted by the animals, who find a new and convenient way to survive underground. This gorgeously detailed animated film, featuring such famous voices as George Clooney, Meryl Streep and Bill Murray, is shown in the backyard of the Canvas Shop, so bring a lawn chair and snacks as you enjoy this warm summer night with the rest of the Anderson-obsessed community.
