Conceived in a college philosophy program, raised during a seven-month sailing trip and guided through adolescence by The Black Keys' Patrick Carney, Tennis is a band seemingly bred for indie cool rock royalty. Comprised of the husband/wife duo, Patrick Riley and Alaina Moore, plus drummer James Barone, the group nods back to the delicate, whimsical time of Shelley Fabares, but keeps it clean and modern. This February saw the release of the group's second album Young & Old, which debuted at the top spot on Billboard's Heatseeker Chart—and this week, the band gives us a performance at the Observatory. Come see why American Songwriter named them Writer of the Week this past April.
