Ska fans will remember Matt Embree from his days with Rx Bandits. In the wake of that band's demise, Embree went on to produce a respectable body of work including contributions to a band called The Sound of Animals Fighting. His solo work forgoes the punky up-strumming of previous songs for blusier/folkier fare. Less crunchy, sure, but no less compelling.
