Yves Saint Laurent's Sleep (All Eight Hours of It!) In a Bottle

[Trendzilla] The Touche Éclat turns 20 with a limited-edition pen in hammered gold and in two new shades

"Capture eight hours of sleep with the click of a pen."

The words drew me in one afternoon on a trip to Sephora. I had been up all night writing, which left me looking a bit like Courtney Love at 3 a.m., worn and ragged. But I had to go to an event in a few hours and didn't want people to wonder whether the zombie apocalypse was under way.

Perched on a display, it called to me. The Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat, a brush-on concealer wand promised to erase all signs of fatigue, leaving my skin "instantly illuminated." I shrugged and gave it a try, rubbing in a tiny bit under my eyes. When I glanced in the mirror, I did a double-take. I looked bright and refreshed, as though I had just returned from an island vacation—or at least had just taken a power nap.

That was the day I joined the Touche Éclat cult. It remains my one makeup splurge. (My husband, of course, has balked at the $40 price tag: "You know what'll make you look like you got eight hours of sleep and is free? Eight hours of sleep!" he scolded.) I use it whenever I need a little pick-me-up—around the lip line (it keeps lipstick from migrating), on the brow line and down the nose. Think of it as an espresso shot for the face. A little goes a long way.

This summer, Touche Éclat turns 20. To celebrate the anniversary of the iconic concealer coveted by pros, celebrities and makeup fanatics, YSL launched a limited-edition version of the pen in hammered gold, along with two new shades: Luminous Radiance and Luminous Ivory. Each is $45 and sold exclusively at Nordstrom.

The brand is also debuting the Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation. Sheerer than the concealer, it's designed to cover more territory for all-over radiance.

Hey, even if you feel like the walking dead on the inside, you might as well look good.
