It's tough to get kids to care about anything that doesn’t involve a blinking screen. Attempts to teach them about the importance of the Olympic Games are challenging, especially in the case of boring sports like shot put, race walking or canoeing. Get your little bundles of joy actively involved in the Summer 2012 Olympics by playing Olympic-themed games at OC Park during their Great Summer Games event. Hosted by Parenting OC, kids can participate in events like the vertical jump, softball toss and 50 meter sprint while parents watch, feigning excitement. For those less talented attendees, the event also features 60 exhibitors, food trucks and a fashion show of trendy kids’ sportswear. Yep, that’s happening.
