Lay Down the Boogie: OC in the Disco Era

Fullerton Museum

Disco resurrects from the dead as Fullerton Museum hosts the retro exhibit "Lay Down the Boogie: OC in the Disco Era." Featuring '70s clothing (paisley!), memorabilia (lava lamps!) and disco music (Donna Summer!), the exhibit takes a close look at the cultural impact the era had on the country (key parties!). The opening reception includes a curator's talk and tour of the groovy collection, plus guests also enjoy live music and "far out" refreshments, which we can only hope means Wampum Injun Corn Chips and Tang. And if you like double features, you're in luck—"Lay Down the Boogie" coincides with a special Fender guitar exhibit, also at the Fullerton Museum, titled "Lowdown on the Uproar: Leo's Electric Basses." Dig it.
