"Play some Foghat!" A phrase uttered not nearly as often as it should gets a swift comeback this week as the '70s blues rockers hit the Pacific Amphitheatre stage. Watch Bryan Bassett, Charlie Huhn, Craig Macgregor and Roger Earl revive classics like "Slow Ride" and "I Just Want to Make Love to You," played just as they were meant to be: blasted out of massive amplifiers to a rowdy crowd of beer drinkers. And though original Foghat vocalist Lonesome Dave may no longer be with us, replacement Huhn does a damn fine good job. This week, they share the bill with Bachman & Turner, who reunite after more than two decades. This is about as classic as classic rock gets.
