More About

For some, The Tragedy of Macbeth is his downfall due to power, corruption, murder and wishy-washy masculinity—for others, the tragedy is having to sit through it all. Still, this most famous of Shakespearean plays is essential to every theater’s summer season and must be experienced at least once by those whose closest relationship to a Mac is usually nuggets. Filled with incredibly famous lines such as “Double, double, toil and trouble; fire burn and cauldron bubble” (hence appropriated by Harry Potter) and “Out, damned spot! Out I say!” (hence appropriated by anyone whose wet dog busts into the living room), Macbeth has icky gore, dreadful deceit, spooky supernatural occurrences and crusty old witches galore. Why wait for Halloween? Get your curse on now
Fridays, Saturdays. Starts: July 20. Continues through Aug. 18, 2012
