Summer is in full swing and that means Long Beach is about to erupt with concerts and music festivals every weekend. Fingerprints hosts a live in-store with Sacremento-based Walking Spanish, an indie outfit fronted by the media-praised young singer/songwriter Alex Nelson. Named for the Tom Waits track, Walking Spanish has a poetic jam-band, classic rock vibe with some orchestral pops—it's a lush and layered sound thanks to band members with backgrounds from every genre on the rainbow. Check them out as they kick start a very regimented California tour and maybe pick up a copy of latest album Wishbones.
