Huntington Beach Fourth of July Parade

Downtown Huntington Beach

In 1904, Huntington Beach held its first Fourth of July parade—that’s more than a century of proud marching in Surf City to celebrate the birth of our country, and that's more than a hundred years of Shriners driving in miniature cars and children waving tiny American flags, running down to the beach to watch fireworks gallantly gleaming over the Pacific. And, well, is there a more traditional American setting in SoCal—the hot rods on PCH, the pier and the marching bands on Main Street—to celebrate the Fourth than HB? So this Wednesday, head to Main Street with your lawn chair for the 108th Huntington Beach Fourth of July parade. Plus, this year’s grand marshal is Patrick Warburton—actor, spokesperson, and voice of Joe Swanson on Family Guy. The parade starts at 10 a.m. Time to grab your sparklers. www.hb4thofjuly.org.
Wed., July 4, 10 a.m., 2012
