Formed in 1981 Negative Approach is considered by many to be pioneers of the hardcore sound in the Midwest. Though the band has gone through lineup changes since the '80s they reunited in 2006. Interesting trivia: singer John Brannon has been tied romantically to L7 singer Larissa Stolarchuk. They will be appearing at the Observatory as part of the lineup for Gnarmegeddon, a festival celebrating all things hardcore.
