Though Death on Wednesday traffics in standard power chord pop punk, they have at least one saving grace in the way of their vocals. Nate Lawler, who also doubles as a guitarist, calls to mind the crooning style of such other indie-punk outfits as Smoking Popes and Alkaline Trio. Playing together since the late '90s, this OC band also has some history—They once counted former Blink 182 drummer Scott Raynor among their ranks.
