Behold the holiday in the sun come to life—dozens of punk bands pushing genre prefixes like “old school” and “hardcore” to their physical limit at Oak Canyon Ranch. Best get this year is probably Deniz Tek of Australia’s (and planet Earth’s) legendary Radio Birdman, teaming up with the locally legendary Godoy brothers for a greatest-hits-and-then-some set. It’s been years if not decades since Birdman landed anywhere near LA, so don’t miss this chance to do the pop with the guy who invented doing the pop. (Especially because his set is at 2:15 p.m.—the Birdman flies in daylight!) Plus Fear, Jello Biafra and his esteemed associates, Fang, the Crowd, a punk rock beauty contest and immeasurably more!
