We haven’t seen a lineup as impressive as this since 1972. That’s when Larry Csonka was leaving bruises, blood and cleat marks on people and the Miami Dolphins were on their way to the NFL’s still only unbeaten season. This lineup is 80 or so wineries offering enough generous tastings to leave you, uh, sideways, plus an awesome array of samplings from some 30 restaurants and food purveyors. Things kick off tonight with a champagne reception and rare vino vintages at Dana Point Yacht Club; survivors and everyone else get to air it out at palm-tree-lined Doheny State Beach on Saturday. Word of warning: “Three sheets to the wind” at the yacht club may land you in the dock.
