This weekend marks “Sizdeh Bedar," a celebration to officially say goodbye to the Persian New Year. This joyous outdoor gathering happens all across the country—SoCal events include Los Angeles, San Diego, and of course, Orange County. Join thousands of people and head over to the Mason Regional Park in Irvine for a family celebration including Persian music, activities and plenty of food—in fact, this year's festival doubles as a food drive sponsored by NIPOC in partnership with OC Outreach to collect goods for underprivileged local families. After the celebration, those of legal drinking age are invited to continue the festivities at Sutra in Costa Mesa, where a live performance by Medina and rotating DJ sets bring the after party well into the next year.
