Despite being described as a bubble, Orange County has a long, rich history full of the ups and downs of a highly developed area—a past so rich that an entire heritage festival was created for us Orange Countians to discover our roots. This inaugural event focuses on the cities of North OC, and features a conference with presentations by local historical societies, nonprofits and museums—after which, the party begins at the festival. A plethora of booths provide information on historic homes, museums, parks, and genealogical associations. There's also live music and dancing as well as food vendors, a children’s area, and tours of the Muckenthaler Cultural Center.
