Everyone hates Mondays—we even sing about how much we hate them. “Manic Monday,” “Monday, Monday,” and the classic “I Don’t Like Mondays” (although that one refers to a PCP-tripping, murdering teen)—they all help us vent about the first day of the week when we have to pretend to be the people we’re not. Alex’s Bar feels your pain and has instituted the fairly helpful night “No Good Mondays,” where you can drown your prophecies of the week’s sorrows in dollar beers and cheapo drink specials, as well as request dreary Monday songs from the guest DJ on hand. There’s little else you can do, after all, so get a buzz on and get moving into Tuesday already!
