The last time we requested three main courses piled onto the same plate, we were briskly ejected from one of the classier joints in South County. Politely, [itals] but briskly. It may have been the request, it may have been the altered, attack-of-the-munchies condition we were in. Either way, we’re thinking it’s not gonna be a problem at Taste of San Juan. With some 20 local eateries offering generous samples—from oinker’s paradise Bad to the Bone BBQ to the elegant L’Hirondelle—we figure inhaling pizza, chile verde and fondue in the same breath is par for the course. Speaking of which, it may be San Juan Hills Golf Club, but plaid friggin’ pants are not on the menu, okay?
