Never have we seen a band control minds like Indian Jewelry—there’s a (possibly) mythical audio device called the feralizing lycanthropizer that makes normal humans act like deranged animals, and that’s probably what Indian Jewelry run their guitars through. They once lived in LA and they’ve since relocated back home to Texas, but their Spacemen-3-by-way-of-Suicide digital-drone punk obliterates petty geography. They perform this week with perfect spiritual match Spindrift, currently celebrating ten years of Jodorowskian cowboy psychedelia and sitting proudly atop a series of short films for every song on their new album Classic Soundtracks. A vital show for heads who want their head to explode.
