Only in Southern California can we have Christmas movie outdoor screenings and not think twice about it. Costa Mesa's hipster retail mecca The LAB hosts Frosty Flicks, a weekly showing of family-friendly holiday films on their open-air big screen. This week, a Christmas tradition as solid as mistletoe, eggnog and gross overspending, a showing of It's a Wonderful Life warms those icy humbug hearts. Gather your loved ones and bring blankets, chairs, maybe a scarf (it might dip into the 50s), and enjoy some free popcorn as George Bailey realizes things aren't so bad after all.
