When Pasadena-born Ozma—the classic indie pop/power rock/whatever the hell we call Weezer—announced their first show in more than three years, there was no grand press conference in front of millions of adoring fans screaming, and unfortunately, Barack Obama didn’t walk down a red carpet and say, “We got ‘em.” No, a select few of hip Southern Californians started playing the air guitar and banging their heads, because Ozma’s first concert kicks off at the Glass House in Pomona. Sure, bands get back together all the time for a reunion concert before their tour with Weezer. Wait, no they don’t. This is a do not miss event. And to make the concert even sweeter than a milkshake from In-N-Out, special guests Matt Sharp and other Rentals will join Ozma. Yes, we’re talking about that Matt Sharp—former bassist of Weezer. Set your clocks back in time, my friends.
