OC Weekly’s favorite DJ and one of Long Beach’s favorite bartenders team up with a night for people who might have finished Thanksgiving dinner, but haven’t finished having fun. In the spirit of Good Foot’s holiday get-togethers, Oldboy and Jackie are hosting a free DJ night that’ll flush the tryptophan right out of your system. In fact, it’ll be a perfect night to break out the food funk—can we suggest the Jive Turkeys’ “Funky Turkey”? The JBs’ “Givin’ Up Food For Funk”? Andre Williams’ “Pig Snoots” (with the Natural Bridge Bunch) or “Bacon Fat,” depending on your taste? And of course Jay and the Techniques’ “Apple Peaches Pumpkin Pie” and the Gaturs’ “Cold Bear,” which there will be plenty of to wash this all down. Oh, and we missed the best one: William DeVaughn’s “Be Thankful For What You Got.” Aww.
