They Might Be Giants Fans might miss Dial-A-Song, which finally cut out in 2008, but can still delight in snippets of melody every time Malcom in the Middle is played in syndication. If you do count, however, each unique tune recorded on Dial-A-Song, TMBG's answer to low funding by putting songs on an answering machine for people to call in and hear, the total is something around 500. Does that make them one of the most prolific bands in rock history? Depends on how much you like quirky, bouncing, synth-heavy weird-rock. Or children's music. They do that, too. Check out the two time Grammy-winners as they play House of Blues this week in support of their 15th studio album.
