Finally—finally!—Orange County sees another spark of gay nightlife. LGBT clubs in the area seem to come and go so fast we barely have time to say goodbye (though Long Beach remains steadfast, fortunately). OC's newest gay club, Velvet Lounge, located in Santa Ana's Art District, is open seven days a week starting at 11:30 a.m. (Bloody Mary, anyone?!) They're going full steam ahead with something different every night, from Latin night to drag shows to karaoke, but this Wednesday is just for the ladies. Come celebrate hump day at Cherry, Velvet's lesbian dance club with DJ Saratonin, where gals of the OC and beyond can drink, dance, mix and mingle. Cheers to you, Velvet, we sure hope you can stick around for a while.
