During this spooky time of year when the dead coexist with the living, remembrance of our loved ones past can sometimes be lost amongst our insatiable desire for candy. But Long Beach Playhouse aims to remind us of the history behind Dia de los Muertos with an exhibition of alters by talented local artists and a lecture on the history and traditions behind this rich Mexican cultural event by Long Beach's Distinguished Artist of the Year Gregorio Luke. Witness this colorful and festive happening through new eyes as you learn about the day’s origins, which dates back centuries.
