Just because Boy & Bear hail from Australia and are surrounded by ocean on all sides doesn't mean they don't pick up rock influences from the rest of the world. These guys specialize in a brand of indie rock remarkably reminiscent of The Local Natives or OC band The Steelwells. Of course imitation is the best form of flattery and if you're going to model your sound after anyone, The Local Natives represent some serious ambition. Put simply, Boy and Bear excel at multi-part harmonies driven by throbbing percussion. Check em out, see how they measure up.
