I have not seen "How the World Began," and chances are I won't.
There were real world cases that held greater drama, and actual consequence. Just in Kansas there was the fascinating public testimony in the 2005 Kansas "kangaroo court" held by the Kansas State Board of Education.http://ncse.com/news/2005/03/b...
Then, there was the famous "Pandas" trial on the teaching of intelligent design creationism in Dover Pennsylvania: http://www.talkorigins.org/faq...
My favorite part started on Day 12, with "... it's titled The Explanatory Filter, Archaeology and Forensics, and it's written by somebody named Gary S. Hurd. Are you familiar with Dr. Hurd?"
For two excellent books on the Dover Intelligent Design creationism trial, I recommend;
Lebo, Lauri2008 “The Devil in Dover” New York: The New Press
Chapman, Matthew2007 “40 Days and 40 Nights” New York: Harper Collins
Fiction is hard pressed to manage reality. This is the problem religions have with sciences.
