Don't call him Kid Cudi's wingman—well, you can, the two rappers are good friends, but Charles Worth, aka Chip Tha Ripper is bouncing out from behind his bud's shadow and gaining celebrity on his own terms. With his chopped and screwed rap style combining sleepy, ambient harmonies with hypnotic, space age beats, Chip takes songs like "Feel Good" and "Everyday Chillin'" back to the classic era of hip-hop. Dropping one of the year's most anticipated mixtapes last March, Gift Raps produced by Chuck Inglish of The Cool Kids, Chip, who just finished supporting the Cud Life Tour with Kid Cudi, now sets off to headline his own shows, stopping this week at the Galaxy's new Constellation Room.
