Friends, acquaintances, and strangers of tand shame his killers—the Fullertohe late Kelly Thomas have been gathering by the hundreds around town to honor the man n Police Department Six. Outraged members of the community organized FPD protests, candlelight vigils and a Kelly Thomas Memorial Fund to help the homeless. OC punks Sederra, among others, are putting on a concert and canned food/clothing drive to benefit the memorial fund. The fact that Thomas loved playing guitar himself, and that the event is geared toward bringing awareness, compassion and acceptance of the transient community, makes it a fitting tribute. The organizers hope to change an unfortunate attitude of apathy or disgust toward the homeless, and show Kelly's killers and those who support them that their actions will not be forgiven or forgotten.
