The tattoo-covered, pinup-infested, music-filled, all-around kick-ass weekend otherwise known as Ink-N-Iron returns to the Queen Mary, and just as much as the alt-fest has become an annual tradition itself, so has Juan Puente’s pre-party at Alex’s Bar. This week, Puente (of San Francisco’s esteemed Black Heart Tattoo) kicks off the festivities with a free show featuring Powerflex 5 (with renowned pro skater Steve Alba and veteran tattooist Corey Miller of LA Ink), grimy rock band Jive Ass Nobodies and DJ Small Paul (who brings the big beats). Get the weekend started early—your hangover is sure to fade enough to enjoy the festival.
