It’s time to break out the rainbow flags and party with pride this weekend as Long Beach hosts its yearly lesbian and gay pride parade and festival. The two-day event features live entertainment and fiestas, plus Sunday’s parade along Ocean Boulevard. Saturday’s festival performers include Monica, Sophie B. Hawkins and the Sonsoles; Sunday sees the likes of Taylor Dayne and Michael Jackson impersonator Edward Moss. The all-day festival, held along touristy Shoreline Drive, also features plenty of food, drink, shopping—and lots of dancing, which continues throughout the streets of Long Beach as the weekend goes on.
