The heyday of the zine is revisited and remembered fondly this month at Bookmachine in Fullerton. Through June 3, the independent publisher and bookstore is showcasing an exhibit dedicated to the creative, gritty, totally DIY zine and chapbook culture. Featured artists include Chris Hanke and Olivia Jaffe of Jackalope Zine; Janice Lee of Kerotakis and [Out of Nothing]; A'misa and Alex Chiu of Eyeball Burp Press; and Jesse la Tour from Hibbleton. There's art, literature and poetry. Hey, maybe this is how we'll see blogs in 10 years.
